We Lived the Blues – Born and raised in Baton Rouge, both Smokehouse & Mamie fell in love with the sights and sounds of Louisiana blues. And not long after, each other. Fast forward to August 2016, and we find Smokehouse and Miss Mamie Porter in a fight for survival as Baton Rouge and the greater community they’ve built around swamp blues falls prey to rising flood waters. This is Smokehouse and Mamie’s story of survival and what truly comes after the flood. As seen through each other’s eyes.

CAN YOU FEEL IT? – Way back in 2015 I shot about half of a passion project feature length documentary about physical media when I had the free time… then I GOT BUSY WITH life. Fast forward to quarantine 2020. I get real bored. I found the footage on an external hard drive and shot a YouTube video to accompany with 2020 Evan giving context & 2015 vignettes from the documentary that never was.
